We’re thrilled to share yet another exciting achievement for Optimyzd this year! We’ve received our fourth nomination and this time it’s for the prestigious Peterborough Telegraph Excellence in Business Awards. Our recognition comes in the form of a nomination for the Business Contribution Award, a category that applauds businesses dedicated to enhancing employee health and well-being.

• Five years ago, we implemented a 9-day fortnight, which allows employees to enjoy an extra day off every other Friday. This arrangement, rotated between our two office locations, ensures both our clients and employees receive the attention they deserve.

• Our hybrid work policy encourages three days in the office and two days working from home. This not only reduces travel costs but also ensures a balanced approach to work, preserving valuable human interactions.

• We’ve always encouraged employees to request work-from-home days when necessary, recognising the diverse reasons they might need it, from home maintenance appointments to caring for a sick child.

• As a multicultural company, we’ve facilitated remote work for employees visiting family abroad, allowing them to blend work with personal time. Those who’ve demonstrated trustworthiness and dedication can benefit from this incentive.

• We offer generous time off, including six weeks of annual leave, bank holidays and an average of 26 Fridays off a year from the 9-day fortnight.

• Our commitment to mental health is evident in our Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme, providing support for our employees’ well-being.

• After just six months with us, employees can join our Vitality Health Insurance Plan, which grants them access to private healthcare, rewards for healthy choices and worldwide travel insurance.

Optimyzd has an amazing work-life balance, with 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home (with every other Friday being a day off). If we have any issues getting into work due to deliveries arriving to train strikes, they are very willing to let us work from home with no fuss.Connor F.
